Pounds of trash removed

TrashTalk is a Montreal-based, youth run organization dedicated towards empowering our generation to becoming more environmentally conscious.

Who We are

We’re a collection of youths from the Montreal area looking to make a difference in our community. We have a young, dedicated team of writers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and community activists that are hungry to make a change.

How We Help

TrashTalk hosts Bi-Weekly Trash cleanup events! We love when volunteers come and help us pick up trash. In addition to that, we create videos that raise awareness to issues, and give solutions on how to be more eco-friendly. Everyone can be more environmentally friendly, and all it takes is a few seconds of effort!

THE TRASHTALK METHOD

TrashTalk’s mission is to teach our youth a simple, two-step process that we call the TrashTalk Method.

1.

Pick up some trash!

It doesn’t matter if it’s your trash, or someone else’s trash. Just pick it up!

2.

Throw it into a trash can!

It doesn’t matter if it’s your trash, or someone else’s trash. Just pick it up!

THE T.A.L.K INITIATIVE

In order to make the TrashTalk Method stick in the minds of our generation, we’ve developed a state of the art educational initiative that we call the T.A.L.K Initiative. Thriving, Achieving, Leading, Kindness. We base all our videos and other media on teaching these 4 things.

Thriving

As you grow as an individual, you must learn to thrive in your environment. By engaging in the TrashTalk lifestyle, you help yourself grow, and you thrive because of it.

Achieving

Every piece of trash removed from our streets and our communities is an achievement. By applying the TrashTalk Method to your every day life, you make a difference.

Leading

Every piece of trash removed from our streets and our communities is an achievement. By applying the TrashTalk Method to your every day life, you make a difference, no matter how small.

Kindness

Research has proven that conscious acts of kindness decrease stress and strongly contribute to enhanced mental health. When you start to pick up trash, you are committing a conscious act of kindness.

OUR VIDEOS

The Bus Stop

How do we apply the T.A.L.K Initiative?

In this silly video about cleaning up a bus stop, we touch on 2 areas of the T.A.L.K Initiative. By showing how much nicer the bus stop is after it’s cleaned, you demonstrate Achieving.

When the main character remarks how much better he feels after the bus stop is cleaned, it demonstrates Kindness.

The Great Plastic Empire

How do we apply the T.A.L.K Initiative?

This video teaches you about garbage patches in the ocean in a lighthearted way. By learning about the garbage patches in an easily digestible manner, you demonstrate Leading.

By keeping up to date on important, worldwide affairs, you demonstrate Thriving.

Thank you.
